Grinds meat, and veggies really well. If if not fully defrosted. However, the pieces rust really easily.

I'm also personally disappointed with this product. It also appeared to me, not to be new when I opened it, and the gears got damaged after 2 uses, they are made out of plastic. Now I have a useless product sitting in the storage. :(

This is a very good product. Solid, heavy and strong and works very well. Easy to assemble provided you follow the directions precisely - which I didn't on first attempt, but a nice lady at the company soon set me straight. Would have liked it a little better if the removable parts were dishwasher safe, but that's a quibble. It gets the job done.

The motor is strong, but "professional grade" is really pushing it. Works EXCELLENT for hamburger, rarely need the plunger. However at first I had poor results with suasage, it turned out with the consistency of liverwurst. After a few tries I learned to avoid forcing the motor to stuff the sausage. Let the meat flow out and squeeze the casings by hand to stuff them.
Results are getting much better. Manufacturer should provide tips and advice. Suasage casings are difficult to find locally, but you can buy buy them online.
Negative aspects are that the accessories have immediate rusting issues, however has not effected performance over 3 months. The hopper does not extend far enough from the machine, the meat lands on the inside edge of the receiving bowl. This results in a spill over if you do not turn the bowl.
However the motor is strong and is reversable, if you get a clog. And the main unit and hopper are made of quality stainless steel and metal.
I am not able to revise my star rating, but after 3 months of use, definitely a 4 and well worth the money. I have not bought store hamburger or suasage since buying this item. Parts do well in the dishwasher, even at sani level.

I have this grinder for just over a year but it was only used a couple of times. It worked OK but a long way from commercial grade. Small bone that accidentally stuck in chunk of meat managed to destroy the gear as it would be a cheap plastic. And what a surprise. I took this thing apart and found a plastic gear inside, which is engaged with metal drive shaft of the motor. Combination that should never work. Just wondering about this guy who designed it. Long story short. Almost $100 for the new motor and $65 to install. I will never use it again. Look for something with a completely metal gear. Hope it helps to make a decision.

This product is solid. It works well, but, as I use this as a sausage stuffer, I an sad that it only has one stuffing tube -- the one for pork intestines. I bought a supplementary set of tubes on Amazon from another company that fit this device, but it's too bad they don't realize that the product should have other tubes. I called their reps -- they didn't really know the product, as they sell so many different things. From the feel of it, I can rely on it working past my lifetime, however. As a meat grinde

The Deni 3500 800 Watt meat grinder and 'aircraft engine' is one of the more disappointing products I have purchased in a long time. The 'Professional Grade' self title leaves me wondering how the bar became so low for professionals. This review is brief since I only use it for infrequent grinding. Cons first because those deserve the most attention, in this case.

I had bought a Waring Pro from Beds Bath and Beyond but somehow it just got stuck while grinding Beef had to be returned. This Rival 2275 is plastic but solid built, all the parts snap in snugly and it just works. I would recommend this for home use definitely.

The rival grinder is an OK product. I had an old rival grain and food grinder that was superb ! the inner worm was shorter and it really did a fantastic job , this grinder does not push the food out properly , at the end there is still more than half a cup of unground stuck all around the inside and the worm even if I grind some bread to try and clear it, I have only used the grinder on cooked meat.

Don't buy this product. You cannot get spare parts for it as I found when I lost the grinder blade.

WITH GROUND BEEF BEING RECALLED WEEKLY FOR ONE NASTY "BUG" OR SOME OTHER THING I DECIDED I WANTED TO GRIND MY OWN MEAT. THE OLD GRINDER [THAT CAME WITH MY MIXER] ALWAYS CLOGGED SO I REALLY WAS INTERESTED IN THE REVERSE FEATURE. DIDN'T GET TO USE IT. THIS LITTLE BEAUTY WENT THRU 4 POUNDS OF RAW BEEF LIKE IT WAS BUTTER. NOT A SLOW DOWN, GROWL, OR GLITCH. DENI SAYS THE UNIT IS FAST AND IT REALLY IS. COULDN'T KEEP UP WITH IT. CLEAN UP WAS FAST AND EASY. THE CUTTING BLADE AND GRINDING PLATES [ON ALL GRINDERS] WI

I was excited to buy this grinder but after running it for the 1st time the motor started smoking. Even tried running without attachments and it still smoked up the kitchen. May have gotten a faulty one but not willing to give it a 2nd chance.

Bought this grinder 2 elk seasons ago and have put about 180 pounds of meat through it. It is not the fastest machine out there but for the price it has surprised me. I had to adjust the shims on as the auger did not engage the drive shaft very deeply, but other than that it does keep going and going. Sure you can bog it down if you so desire, and yes I would love to spend $500 on a larger model, but this piece does keep working. The best change in my processing I did was to make sure the meat and fat w

This is a great grinder, I see a lot of negatives posted about it, and I must tell you that I hated it at first. It wouldn't grind without SHOVING the meat through.
The issue is not with the grinder, but with the instructions. Mine came with the blade and a plate in it from the factory, I read the instructions, changed plates and went to grind. It was a BEAR to work. Pork with fat on it wouldn't grind at all.
Then I made a discovery. The blade as assembled from the factory, and according to the instructions, was placed in the grinder correctly, but the blade was actually BACKWARD. Make sure you put the blade with the flat (ugly) side TOWARD the plate.
I then ground 15lbs of pork, with fat on, in about 5 minutes.
MY issue with the grinder is that I cannot find plates. I want a stuffing plate (no holes, just an open plate). Due to the design (tits on the plates, rather than on the grinder) I cannot seem to locate plates other than what came with it as replacements.
In all, an OK product for the money!

Put some parts that were in contact with meat through dishwasher and it came up completely stripped of the coating. Called Waring pro they said none of their problem since it states not to put it into dishwasher. I have wasted $100 or so, no i will look for something made of cast iron or stainless steel. This POS is not worth the money.
